Welcome to Weightlifting Foundations! First things first—I'm genuinely pumped you're here. Whether you're brand new to the barbell or you've dabbled in lifting and want to level up, this course is designed to help you build confidence, competence, and maybe even a little swagger in the weight room. This is a self-paced journey, which means you get to move at your own speed (no burpee penalties for taking your time). We’ll cover the fundamentals of Olympic lifts, strength mechanics, mobility, and mindset—because lifting heavy things is great, but lifting smart is even better. Throughout this module, you’ll learn how to move safely, understand the “why” behind each position, and start building the kind of technique that sets you up for long-term progress. My goal is to help you feel strong, capable, and totally unbothered by that one guy doing curls in the squat rack. Note: this course is really designed for athletes who are barbell curious and willing to experiment. It is not exhaustive and it is not intended to educate coaches on things like error correction, comprehensive teaching progressions or programming. For that, check out USA Weightlifting.
